How to print from your iPhone or iPad

For: iPhone or iPad with an AirPrint printer

Last checked October 14, 2026 against official help from Apple. Written for iOS 27 and iPadOS 27.

You can print from your iPhone or iPad without any cables or extra apps, as long as your printer supports AirPrint.

This page is for you if

  • You want to print a photo, email or web page from your phone
  • Your printer doesn't show up when you try to print

Good to know first

Your printer needs to work with AirPrint. The printer's box or the maker's website will say if it does.

Do these steps

  1. Step 1: Use the same Wi-Fi

Make sure your printer and your iPhone or iPad are on the same Wi-Fi network.

  2. Step 2: Open what you want to print

Open the photo, email or web page.

  3. Step 3: Find Print

Tap the Share button (a square with an arrow pointing up). In some apps, tap the Actions button instead. Then tap Print.

  4. Step 4: Pick your printer

Tap No Printer Selected and choose your printer.

  5. Step 5: Print

Choose how many copies, then tap Print.

Good to know

  • If your printer doesn't show up, restart the printer and check that it's on Wi-Fi. Your printer's own help can show you how: HP, Canon, Epson, Brother.
