Connect your hearing aids to an Android phone or tablet

For: Android phone or tablet

Last checked October 14, 2026 against official help from Google. Written for Android 14 and up.

Many hearing aids can play calls and music straight from your Android phone or tablet. You pair them once in Settings.

This page is for you if

  • Your hearing aids don't show up on the phone
  • Calls and music don't play in your hearing aids

Good to know first

These are Google's steps for Android 14 and up. Samsung and other brands can look a little different. Your hearing aid maker's app may also help you connect.

Do these steps

  1. Step 1: Put the hearing aids in pairing mode

Follow your hearing aids' instructions, or ask your audiologist how.

  2. Step 2: Open Connected devices

Open Settings. Tap Connected devices, then Pair new device.

  3. Step 3: Pick your hearing aids

Tap your hearing aids in the list.

  4. Step 4: Pair the second one

If you have two, wait for the first one to connect. Then tap the other one in the list.

If they don't show up

  1. Step 1: Try Accessibility

Open Settings, tap Accessibility, Hearing devices, then Pair new device. Google says this works best with hearing aids that support ASHA.

  2. Step 2: Check pairing mode

Make sure the hearing aids are still in pairing mode, then try again.

Good to know

  • To choose whether ringtones, alarms and media play in your hearing aids, open Settings, Accessibility, Hearing devices, and look under Sound.

We wrote these steps from these official pages. If your screen looks different, the official page is always right.
